Hello friends of Mary Jo!

My mom passed away last Tuesday while on her trip to TN for her class reunion.  I'm so sorry for the late notice.  I was unable to access this blog from home, just got to her computer today.

Thank you so much for being her faithful readers and friends.  She enjoyed this blog and it made her feel so good to know that you enjoyed it, too.

And thank you all so much for your love and prayers for all of us.  We miss her terribly.

Tricia

  1. Thank you so much for posting Tricia. It has meant so much to me (and others) to read over her blog for the last few weeks. I will get a chance to meet you tomorrow. There was absolutely no one as special as your mom. You have no idea how many people loved and respected her.

  4. I will so miss reading Jo's blog. Each day I checked on her progress and it was like talking to an "old" friend each time I read her entry. She was so positive and up beat and always supported others in whatever they were facing. You, Gretta, Lee, grandkids, and all her friends and extended family have been in my prayers this weekend and always. She was one special Christian lady. Love, peace and rest, Miss Jo!

    Love to all, Donna

  5. I found Maryjo by accident last year. I was looking for a friend and I found her in a reunion photo that had been posted by Maryjo. I contacted her to ask her help in contacting my old friend whom I had not seen since our days in Japan in the early 70's. She didn't hesitate a bit to help and ask me to find her on FB (because she couldn't find me) and that's how my friendship with her began. My old friend and I reconnected, but only once, sad to say. But through this experience I gained a new, wonderful, caring beautiful FB friend in Maryjo, although it seemed like we were in the same room when talking on FB. What an amazing soul she was. I still can't bear the thought that she's gone. On the day of her memorial service I, in Rochester NY, looked up at the sky and gave a smile to her in heaven. It was a cloudy fall day but there was one white patch of white, an opening, surely created by Maryjo to smile right back at me. Rest in God's hand in his peace and no more pain. I really miss her. She was such a strong "positive."

  6. I just learned of your mother's passing from Charlotte in Texas. We talked about fun times we had at reunions and the visit we made to Hobart and the one they all made to my house in Minnesota. I also remember meeting your folks in Hawaii and having such a fun time. Your mother will be missed by her military brat friends.

  7. I'm writing this through tears having re-read Mary Jo's last blogs. On this Thanksgiving Day, I thank God for having brought Mary Jo into my life even for a short period through Facebook. God must have meant for me to remember her today (although it's NY time and it's 1 a.m., the day after). I was looking through my bookmarks for Shutterfly and noticed Mary Jo's blog site which was also bookmarked. What a nice way for me to end my evening....remembering an angel. Good night sweet angel, in heaven. Marilu Aguilar
