Saturday Feb 3 Update

These first two pictures are to remind you of the bunch of limbs and branches we had in the yard. This one big limb broke the first day of Kona Winds. Davy and Don got it down, but it has just been laying in the yard until we could figure out what to do with it. Besides that, we had 3 more days of Kona Winds, so there were about that many branches and limbs 3 times, again all over the yard. Don has gone out and picked them up around the yard each day, and put them into a big pile. I should have taken a picture of that. Instead I decided to help. He cut up the big limb and I piled up about a dozen piles that we could drag out to the front of the property where Bob seems to have such piles hidden behind a row of trees. Anyway, he sure has that, now! We are BEAT. We had to get all that picked up so that he could mow some day soon.

Davy and Susan went to the Volcano and hiked it today. They called back and are safely on their way back. They said they got good pictures, so maybe I can put some of those on tomorrow. That’ll be awesome! They got rained out earlier in the week, so they really wanted to go today. Their flight leaves at 10:40 tonight, so they need to sleep on the way home. The felt like this hiking venture would help to assure them of sleep on the airplane. I hope it works for them.

My friends from my graduating class are coming tonight, so we’re very excited to start the tours all over again tomorrow!

The pictures below are a little stream we found created by all the rains that came the 4th day of the Kona Winds. We had 4 inches of rain here at the house that day. This stream went over the driveway into a very exclusive home on the ocean. The last picture is Davy and Don standing by the same stream with the ocean at their back. Davy has on his Hawaii shirt; we convinced him it looked good with those swimming trunks that belong to Don. Davy forgot to pack his. None of it mattered as long as he has his OSU hat on his head he’s a happy camper.

God bless you all! This is a wonderful healing experience for me. I love you for caring enough to keep up with us.
