I read a precious email this morning that included all of the following plus a few things like 'send it within 60 seconds to all your address book.' I never do that stuff, but here is the part I gleaned from it and want to share. Thanks so much to Linda and Tom Rose for sharing it with me. I love them and you and thank God for all of us and the bonds we share.

I AM CLAIMING THIS FOR ME AND YOU

Three things will happen to you this coming week:

(1) You will find favour with someone you don't expect;
(2) You will be too relevant to be ignored;
(3) You will encounter God and you will never remain the same, Amen.

My prayer for you today: The eyes beholding this message shall not behold evil, the hands that will share this message to others shall not labor in vain, the mouth saying Amen to this prayer shall laugh forever. Remain in God's love as you share this prayer. Have a lovely journey of life! Trust in the Lord with all your heart and He will never fail you because He is Awesome!

If you truly need a blessing (I do!), continue reading:

Heavenly Father,most Gracious and Loving God, I pray to you that you abundantly bless my family and me. I know that you recognize, that a family is more than just a mother, father, sister, brother, husband and wife, but all who believe and trust in you. Father, I send up a prayer request for blessings for not only the person who sent this to me, but for me and all who read this. I believe that the power of joined prayer by those who believe and trust in you is more powerful than anything, and I thank you in advance for your blessings. Father God, deliver the person reading this right now from debt and debt burdens. Release your Godly wisdom that I may be a good steward over all that You have given me, Father, for I know how wonderful and mighty you are and how if we obey you and walk In your word and have the faith of amustard seed that you will pour out blessings. I thank you now for the recent blessings I have received and for the blessings yet to come because I know you are not done with me. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen

Share this with others and, you will cause a multitude of people to pray to God for each other. Then watch the power of God work in your life. Remain Blessed!!!Peace and Blessings...

  1. We have special speakers at church on Wed. evenings. It is really neat because preachers from all over come to give us a particular lesson they want to share. Last night our lesson was about you - at least that is who I envisioned as he spoke. It was about living for the day and finding the joy in it. You are a bundle of optimism, caring, and sunshine. You are a blessing to the Shnell extended family and of course to all of your friends (far and wide, I might add.) On the day when many would have been so "wiped out" by the news you received from your tests, you were seeing the blessings of the day. As we read your blog, you lift us all up to see God and His daily provisions that we often seem to take for granted. A positive attitude does more for healing than most medicine.
    Love you lots,
    Doris

  2. Mary Jo,

    I did not know of your cancer until reading the latest Itazuke Alumni Association Newsletter. Doctor’s diagnosed Jane with Breast Cancer on April 19, 2007 and removed the tumor on April 26, 2007. The actual biopsy was done around April 12, 2007. She started on hormone treatment immediately after seeing her oncologist and will begin seven weeks of radiation treatment after our vacation next week.

    I no longer have an active web page that was up and running for over four years. My health is bad and in actuality, Jane is my caretaker.

    If you have a regular email address, I would love to get more in touch with you. It has been a long time since my Brady days as a teenager.

    You have a wonderful and upbeat blog and also your granddaughter “Sadie” has a new admirer- my soon to be 12 year old grandson who we are raising. He was out here while I was looking through your blog (in all honesty, he is the one that keeps the computer running!).

    Mary Jo, if you need anything at all please ask. One of my favorite quotes comes from Martin Luther’s Table Talk Series is It is a great matter when in extreme need, to take hold on prayer. I know, whenever I have earnestly prayed, I have been amply heard, and have obtained more than I prayed for; God, indeed, sometimes delayed, but at last he came.

  4. Hey, Doris, for someone who didn't know how to do the blog, you have sure learned it! You uplift me and I appreciate that. It also sure feels good to have your home be our home while we are in this big huge place. We'll be there before long and give Judy and Aki a break. It's so wonderful to have TWO homes away from home; how lucky can we be? Thanks for being the best sister-in-law possible! Love you, Jo

  5. Hey, Gene, how wonderful to hear from you! We used to email and I am so glad to hear from you, again! I've been reading your blog to catch up a bit; now I'll write you an email soon and we can get back in touch. I'm so glad you wrote! When I saw your blog enry I said to Judy, "Who do people who don't have Itazuke buddies turn to?" I have other friends, but nobody touches me like Itazuke people do. You all are such a blessing to me. Love you and I'll be in your mail box soon. (Sadie will probably blush when she sees that she has an online admirer!) Love, Mary Jo

  6. Hello Jo, thanks for the uplifting messages you send every day. How many times have you heard that you are an inspiration to all that read the Blog Updates from you. The Prayer is wonderful and we all believe in that and that is why everything will work out for good for you. My Sister, Frances from Paducah is visiting us and we went to visit our Dear Friends, Ruthie and Phil this afternoon and what an enjoyable afternoon. Just want you to know we will keep praying and will believe our Prayers will be answered, well, we know they will according to His will. Keep the faith and the wonderful smile. God Bless you and Don and your relatives and friends there with you to hold your hand.
    With Love and Prayers,
    Dot, Frazier and Frances

  7. Oh, Dot, it's so good to hear from you and it's wonderful to know that Frances is there with you. It's even better to know you went by to see Ruthie and Phil today! It makes me feel like we are all together; I know that in spirit and prayer we are! Thanks so much for your support. I imagine this is a horrible thing that is happening, but it almost feels wonderful! I think it could be so much worse. Several of friends I've had over my lifetime have already died of heart disease, automobile accidents or war injuries, etc. I'm not anywhere near death in this cancer thing and I have the strength to put up a good fight, yet. Besides, if God is ready to bring me home, then I'm ready to go. I really hope I can be around here a lot longer because I love life and family and friends. But, what do I know? I know for sure that God knows best and whatever is His will is what I want most, even if it doesn't suit my preferences. It sure makes it easier to have love and support of people like you and my awesome family.

    All my life people have had an attitude of how it must have been strange to be a military kid; it was all I knew. I'm so blessed to have friends from those years of being one of those military kids; they are like family and we are so close. I believe it was all part of God's plan. He puts the people we need in our lives when we need them.

    Like you; you come right when I need you and in such a warm, loving way! God is so good. Thank you for being in my life! Love, Jo
