The picture tonight is one I took of Doris, holding her grandson, Logan, when we were in Houston back in April. Today is Doris' birthday, so we're celebrating her today. It's fun to celebrate Logan, too; he's a precious guy and probably nearly grown, now. They grow up so quickly!
Today we got up early to go with some others from church to the funeral of a precious lady whose granddaughter goes to church with us. What a precious family that lady had and we were so pleased to participate in celebrating her courageous and creative life. Life is so fleeting and we give thanks for her life and ours.
Tonight we went out to David and Dorothy's house to play cards with them and Joan and Floyd. Dorothy makes the best ice cream ever; even better than Blue Bell. She's amazing! She made it with Splenda, even so I could have some! Yum!
By the way, Doris is Don's 'baby sister.' Doris makes her home our home when we go to Houston for my check ups; she even shares those precious grandsons with us!
