Super Bowl Sunday is restful for me.

Here is the promised picture of the kids with Grammy and the precious bag! This picture hangs in the little dressing area between the bathroom and the walk-in closet. We keep all our medical supplies on this counter, so this is a high traffic area. I’m so thrilled to have the pictures Trish sent! This is 7 of the grandkids; there are 8 more, but I didn’t think to bring pictures of all the rest with us. Ugh. I have them on the computer for us to visit from time to time, but these on the walls sure make this place feel like home.

Nate (16 next month) is at the top; Sadie (11 next month) is on the top left and Gabe (13) at the top right. Grace (5 in April) is at the bottom left and Mason (7) is at the bottom right. Garrett 11) (is at the bottom center, holding Raynie (7 months). Garrett has always spent so much time with this bunch, that it’s only natural for Trish to have their picture made when he comes to their house. Garrett belongs to Gretta, but he’s right at home in this Oglesby household. I thank God for all of them and the other 8 as well. We are so blessed to be rich with grandchildren!

I’ve had another good day. I’m sure rest is good for healing and I’m getting lots of rest. God is sure good to us.

  1. Thanks so much for sharing the picture of Trish's kids and Garrett with their names and ages. Now where do they live?
Mary Jo, you really look great - not stressed out from pain or lack of sleep and I think that is without make-up. How lucky you are to have a natural healthy color to your face! I love the picture of the tulips; this is the first year I didn't plant any but I am hoping to have some rebirths. When do you go back to the doctor? Love,Ann

  2. Oh Mommy I love that picture and your jammies are so pretty! Makes me want to go buy a new pair of jammies! I'm going to have to BEG Tricia for one of those pictures! I'm so glad that Garrett got to hold Raynie! What a precious picture!!!

    Love you!

  3. Hi, Ann! Tricia lives in Oklahoma City and Garrett lives in Louisville, Kentucky.

I am so not stressed! Don is so good to cut me so much slack; he even moves the furniture to keep me happy! I am healing so well and I have pictures of the kids and live flowers! Everything is designed to make me comfortable; I have no complaints at all.

I think your tulips will bloom; keep me posted about their progress. If you have them buried deep enough that they didn't freeze, they should bloom. I think they're pretty tough.

I go back to the doctor in the morning! I see her at 8:15 and then see the radiology oncologist after her. If the pathology report isn't back when we are there to see her, they told me they'll swap the appointments and have me come back later. We all want the pathology reports to be back by tomorrow's visit. I'll report on the blog about it tomorrow night.

    Love you,

    Mary Jo

  4. Jilly, I knew you would love that picture! I'm glad you like my jammies, too. I'm enjoying all my yard sale stuff I've had for years. Ha! I'll get to wear some stuff I couldn't 'stuff myself into,' too! I'm really enjoying it. I think I might be supposed to be miserable or something, but it's not happening. Things are going just great. Maybe the best part is having the kids pictures! It was a great thing to make us feel at home here. Of course I have pictures on the computer, but it is so cool to have them on the wall and sitting around on the table and desk!

You won't have to beg Trish for a picture: I'm sure she has a copy for you. Just remind her to send it. It is really a precious picture. The thing that is so precious is that it is so THEM; they are all just like that. What we see is what we get. There's no way you can pose 7 kids; you just have to put them there, start clicking and pray you get something good. God said, "Here you go!" I love it!

    You get better!

    Love you,

    Mommy

  5. Oh, Jilly, that robe is from the yard sale collection, but the jammies are some Judy brought me from JAPAN! They are so soft and comfortable, especially now that they fit so much better. I feel so pampered!

    Love you,

    Mom
