Ruthie is doing great.

-------This was Friday when Linda and Tom took us to visit one of my mom's dearest friends, Frieda Hannah. Frieda is 98 years old and sharp as a tack. It was so good to see her. Linda used to work with Frieda, so she knew her, too. Tom knew her from church years ago, so it was a good visit for all of us.

-------Now, about Ruthie. We just got checked into this hotel and we have an insecure connection, so I'm going to rush and get offline. I need to report that Ruthie did very well in her surgery. It was over 3 hours and we were expecting about an hour, so it was kind of stressful wondering what was taking so long. They did find that there was lots of repair to do, which they did, but they want to do another surgery in a couple of weeks from the front to really do the repair completely. She doesn't know that, yet, and I'm sure she won't like it, but she'll do the right thing. In the couple of hours that we were there after she came out of recovery she was improving a whole lot. She's a good patient, so she'll do really well.

-------Don and I are doing just fine. We thank God that we can be here for this time with Ruthie and Phil
