The picture on the blog tonight is Elena with Uncle Phil at Branson. They speak the same language; see the looks on their faces? She’s asking him, “YOU read that rule book, too? And, ‘No Chewing’ means THIS table, too??? Good grief, I’ll bet you’re going to enforce that ‘No sweet potatoes on my clothes’ rule, too. Uh-huh. And I was thinking you were a cut above the rest of them. But, we can still be close; am I doing this 'strum on the table' thing right?”The Woohoo in the title of today’s blog is about God providing an apartment for us! Doris called today and they have an opening next Wednesday! That means we’ll get to move in on Wednesday after my appointment with the internal medicine doctor that morning. We are so pleased and give thanks to God. This is an apartment that Doris and Jerry and another couple manage for their church. The church pays for half of it and we pay the rest. Whew! This is awesome for us. It would cost about $100 a day to stay in a motel and around $2,000 per month to get an apartment on our own. This one is very close to the hospital and a shuttle stop is right across the street so that we don’t have to drive to the hospital every day for doctor visits, radiation, etc. It is completely furnished, so all we have to take is our personal stuff and food. Praise God; this is such a wonderful thing. It means we can get into the apartment and get all settled before the surgery on the 28th. Thank you, God!
We went out to eat at the Mexican Restaurant tonight to celebrate the apartment! Dorothy and David joined us, so it was a fun celebration. Three of our neighbors were there, so we got to see a fun group!
God is great and takes care of us! Thank you for your prayers and love!
Hello Jo, I just have to send one more comment before you trip to Houston. Thank you for all the updates. You are just the greatest to keep up with all you have to and still put pictures and updates on here. I sure did like the one of Phil and Eleana tonight. Also your dialogue of what they are saying. ha We like all of them. God Bless you and all your Dear Good Friends. And Thank God for being there for you and leading you in the right direction. As you know we will continue to pray every prayer for you all as you go through this next and hopefully final step. I just have to say how Thankful we are to have Jane here to help us. She is so precious. We feel Blessed to have Ruthie and Phil as our best Friends. To Gretta, You are so wonderful as your Mom and Dad. Thanks you so much for the pictures of Precious Eleana. You sure brought smiles to us and we Love them, but the one with the ribbon around her head kept coming up first. Thank You!

Dot, you all are so sweet to care about our goings and comings and all our sweet kids! Of course, it's all important to us. This blog is about how I'm doing and the kids are all such a part of how I am doing. They boost me so much! It was such a boost to have Ruthie and Phil join us and share the time with the kids, too! I feel really blessed to have had this time and to have been able to stay healthy through it!
ReplyDeleteI hope all of you are over your bug that's had you down for so long. Sometimes they are hard to shake, but you can do it and be strong again. Be sure you get LOTS of fluids and lots of vitamin C and rest; all of that helps rebuild strength.
